Welcome to Physical Therapy with Movement by Taryn

Hello friends!

Welcome to Movement By Taryn! Thank you for finding your way to this page and sharing in my journey to raise awareness of what physical therapy is and what it can do for you.

I’ve been a practicing Physical Therapist since 2013. I have completed an Orthopedic Residency to obtain my Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Fellowship in Manual Therapy to distinguish myself as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (FAAOMPT). What that means to you as a reader and potential client is that I have taken a lot of additional time to hone my diagnosis skills, clinical examination, and treatment interventions to better serve YOU and get you back to living the life you love.

The short of it is that I am here to serve you. I am here to help your life with less pain, have more fun, and get back to living.

Physical Therapist in Houston, Texas

Developing an outstanding rapport with my patients is a vital part of a successful treatment outcome.  I’d like to start that process as early as possible, please enjoy learning more about some of my favorite things!

My dog, Waldo. I’ve had him since he was a “little” pupper. Little is very relative to him. Waldo is currently 7 years old and weighs in at 160 lbs.  He hasn’t ever really been little. Waldo is just a big love bug who doesn’t know how big he is. He loves walkies, treats, and snuggles.

My fiancé/husband depending on when you stumble upon this. Stephen was and is a huge driving force behind branching out into the world of blogging and independent employment (hopefully). He runs the show at Fountain Forward, a Houston based advertising agency.

Running. I love running. Currently chasing after a Boston Qualifier (BQ). Since they adjusted the cut off times I have a bit more work to put in. Current PRs include:  Marathon (Fargo, ND) 3:34:06, Half Marathon (Houston, TX) 1:35, 10k (Houston, TX) 43:15

Dance House Fitness. I am a group fitness instructor at a boutique studio here in Houston. The classes I teach focus on strength, HIIT, and dance cardio. If y’all are local Houstonians, come check out a class!

Food. I love eating all the food. I have a particularly intense sweet tooth and have never met a baked good or ice cream flavor that I didn’t like.

Grey’s Anatomy. FOREVER.

Sports. I could watch football (SKOL VIKINGS!) and hockey (SIOUX YEA YEA!) at any time, any day of the week.
