Hey new friends! Welcome to Movement by Taryn!
I wanted to take this opportunity to share a little information about myself and how Movement by Taryn became a reality. I have been a practicing physical therapist since 2013. I graduated from the University of New England in Portland, Maine in May of 2013 and moved to Houston to pursue a residency program to specialize in Orthopedic Physical Therapy. At the conclusion of this one year program I sat for and passed an exam to become a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). The next stop on the specialization train was completing a Fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT). These two credentials will secure a position at the higher end of physical therapy practitioners in regards to clinical reasoning, diagnosis of conditions, and treatment interventions, most notably in the realm of manual therapy.
Movement by Taryn is a result of years of experience working with patients that desire a more personalized and efficient approach to their physical therapy care. I am passionate about delivering each individual the diagnosis they desire, a clear-cut plan and explanation of how physical therapy will positively impact their lives and return them to whatever goals they have in mind. Working in a one on one patient care model which makes it easy to deliver on the previous promises.
Over the years I have had the privilege to work in many settings across the health care continuum from elite hockey camps, community-based healthcare, outpatient orthopedics, running clubs, and world-class triathletes. Movement by Taryn will be the catalyst for a long career in bringing personalized, one on one patient care to my community and beyond. Keep moving!
